Places to VisitThis is brief information about the things you can do while staying in the house. For more information please visit our 'Links' page. Gdynia is a fifteen minute drive away and here you will find beautiful waterfronts, marinas and yacht clubs. Gdynia is the only city in Poland and one of the few in Europe to pride itself on such an accessible seashore as you can walk along the whole coast here. Sopot is the third town easily reached and offers an abundance of cafes, shops, restaurants and musical concerts. Gdansk is the most historical city and has Westerplatte - the place where WWII broke out. There are also many shopping centres and restaurants here. In Gdansk there is also an opera and there are plenty of annual music festivals in the area with well known artists from abroad performing. There are also many cinemas with English films (English language and Polish subtitles), theatres and museums. A zoo is situated on the outskirts of the city. Sports such as rowing, fishing, hiking, cycling (5 bikes available for use in the house), bowling, sailing, windsurfing, water skiing, basketball (hoop in garden and EuroLeague Team in Sopot), tennis, skiing, climbing, go-karting, para-gliding, riding, mountain biking, off-road driving, hunting, shooting, canoeing and golf are all available in the local area. There is an adventure park offering most of these sports nearby. Day trips to Malborg Castle, Hel Peninsula, Rewa, Fromborg, Slominski National Park, Leba, Ostroda-Elblag canal, Jastarnia, Puck, Gdansk Bay and the Kaszuby Lake District are all within easy reach |

Bird WatchingThe area is renowned for bird watching, storks fly over the garden and woods regularly every day and there are many nests in Bojano. However there are many more birds in Poland, especially in October during the migration season. Gdansk Bay, is a 15 minute drive from the house and is a group of wetland and shoreline sites. There are passage birds and several eastern nesting species there. Around the countryside in the region, there are many bird observation posts in forests. In the house there is a pair or binoculars for bird watching and are available for usage in the house and village only. Please bring your own if visiting other bird watching sites such as the Slominsky National Park. The Park is home to over 70% of Poland's birds and contains over 255 species, it is also located on the most important way of annual bird migrations.
